Ukrainian aircraft crashed in Iran, killing all aboard

DUBAI / KIEV (Reuters) – A Ukrainian plane crashed and caught fire shortly after taking off from Tehran in early Wednesday, killing all 176 people on board.

It was the first deadly accident of Ukraine International Airlines based in Kiev. The airline said it was doing everything it could to confirm the cause, and the investigation would also involve Boeing and the national government.

According to international regulations Iran is responsible for investigating the accident.
